CHILDREN got to meet a real life batman during a talk at Sutton Courtenay nature reserve on Sunday.
Wildlife expert Dave Endacott, of Oxfordshire Bat Group, took seven bats to meet children aged eight to 10.
Mr Endacott, from East Challow, near Wantage, was invited to the environmental education centre by Sutton Courtenay Wildlife Watch.
He said: “I’ve got 16 bats at home and I keep them in my spare room. We pick up bats that are injured in the wild. If they have damaged wings and can’t be returned to the wild we use them for educational purposes.
“I brought five different species of bats to Sutton Courtenay, including serotine and pipistrelle bats. The children were fascinated.”
Naomi Byrne, eight, is pictured taking a closer look at one of the bats held by Mr Endicott.
