Volunteer police officers throughout Thames Valley will be cracking down on noise, drug taking and excessive drinking to mark National Specials Weekend over the next three days.
A spokesman fof Thames valley Police said operations would be run to ensure local Special Constables, supported by their full-time colleagues, are addressing community concerns.
National Specials Weekend is designed to showcase the work of more than 500 volunteer officers in Thames Valley and the thousands more that work throughout the UK every week.
Police said each volunteer officer worked a minimum of 18 hours a month, was trained and given full support. Once in post, they support local neighbourhood teams, reacting to incidents and providing a presence at events.
Key planned operations include a campaign tonight to tackle drug usage, noise and anti-social behaviour in identified hotspots with support from drugs dogs.
Tomorrow night officers will be working with neighbourhood teams to address anti-social behaviour.
