MEMBERS of The Theatre in Didcot Youth, a drama group for the 14-21 age group, staged an old-time music hall at the former St Peter’s Church, in Church Road, in 1978. They are pictured rehearsing for the performance.
Playing shops was one of the popular activities at Lydalls Nursery School in 1974. Paul Underwood and Jennifer Logue, seen in the second picture, were preparing the counter for a flood of customers.
Didcot Rotary Club said farewell in 1979 to Ron and Wendy Burnby, steward and stewardess at the Marlborough Club, where members met. In the third picture, Rotary chairman Jimmy Green presents them with a silver salver. The couple were moving to High Wycombe.
