IT’S an outrage that Oxford does not have toilets open at St Giles.

People travel into Oxford on the bus.

Men have to answer the call of nature too but nowadays I have had to use the ladies’ toilets at St Giles.

There used to be an attendant there to clean the toilets.

It’s a long way to walk to Market Street, or to the Town Hall, and that is closed by 5pm.

At least if we pay 10p or 20p it would pay for an attendant and for toilets to be open.

They were open last year, and the year before, when St Giles’s Fair was on in September, for a busy three days in the year.

And last week the ladies were open one day, but closed the next day.
