Cholsey took the advantage and played downhill in the first half. Cholsey took charge of the game and pressed Garsington throughout the first half but were unable to get a goal. Joe took an early corner that hit the crossbar and then the post. Garsington made a few breaks and won a corner. A drop ball to Cholsey was supposed to be passed to Garsington however it bounced off the keeper to Tyler who tapped it into the net. Garsington then came forward and scored a cracking goal in the top right hand corner just before half time.

In the second half Garsington took an early shot which was pushed wide by the keeper. Garsington continued to disrupt Cholsey’s defence. Joe broke down the wing and squared it for Tyler who shot, Garsington’s keeper did will to push it onto the bar and it was safely cleared away. Cholsey continued to play in Garsington’s half but they defended well. Against the run of play Garsington made a break and took a weak ground shot; the keeper made a howler and decided to bend down to pick up the ball and the ball bounced nicely through his legs of Garsington’s second goal. A frustrated Cholsey continued to press but Garsington broke again. The throw in was nicely placed into the box to two unmarked forwards who then had time to take a shot close to the left post – the keeper dived but was unable to reach that far. Well done Garsington.

William Thomas was Cholsey’s Man of the Match.
