A CONVICTED knifeman who stabbed a promising Oxford footballer to death on the street has been found guilty of murder.
Moise Avorgah, 20, murdered 17 year-old Godwin Lawson when he tried to protect a childhood friend from attack in north London.
The victim was on weekend home visit from the Oxford United FC Academy.
Avorgah, who has a previous conviction for carrying a knife in public two years before the killing, was convicted of murder by an Old Bailey jury after 21 hours and 45 minutes of deliberation.
He was also convicted of wounding with intent of Godwin's friends Julian and Daniel Borja.
Avorgah, St Ann's Road, Tottenham, will be sentenced at a later date.
