RAY Coleman is looking forward to buying himself a new Oxford United scarf after becoming our latest Face in the Crowd winner.
Mr Coleman was spotted by our photographer during the U’s 1-1 draw against Cheltenham on Saturday.
The 75-year old, from Cowley, who buys the Oxford Mail every day, said he spotted himself in the picture in Monday’s paper.
Since then eagle-eyed friends and family members have been calling him to tell him to make sure he claims the £75.
The grandfather of two said: “I have been an Oxford United fan and season-ticket holder for 50 years now.
“I was a fan during the times of the Atkinson brothers, and Ken Skeen.
“I spotted myself when I picked up the Oxford Mail on Monday. But I have had nephews, sister, daughters, all ringing me up.
“It feels a bit strange seeing myself in the paper. I think I will buy a new scarf now, and put some petrol in the car!”
