Cumnor Minors consolidated their 3rd place in the Red league this weekend.

The first game was a close affair and Cumnor took the lead from a Gabriel Rooma strike. Jack Hunter laid the ball off on the edge of the area and the ball was slotted into the corner.

Goring equalised almost immediately when Bertie beat the Cumnor defence and put the ball beyond the keeper.

Both teams were playing a fine passing game but Cumnor scored 2 goals through Jack Hunter to lead 3-1 at the final whistle.

Immediately from the kick off, Cumnor took control of the second game. Maxi Madrian was dominant in central midfield and scored a hat-trick of fine goals.

He was supported by Rory Whelan who came on at half time to score 2 goals including a sublime chip over the Goring goalkeeper. Charlie Atkinsin also scored for Cumnor and Toby Chung for Goring making the final score 6-2 in the second game.

The game was played in a great spirit and both sets of players should be proud of themselves.
