A POET is launching his latest book of verse at the gallery where he works.
Adam J Maynard, from Wolvercote, Oxford, will unveil Green at Modern Art Oxford, in Pembroke Street – where he works as an installation technician.
The event, on February 5, will also see him previewing My Name is Mud, a book compiling work from Oxford writers who contribute to the website of the same name. The party, which starts at 7pm, will feature readings, performances, short films and music.
Mr Maynard said: “The evening promises to be a chance to experience a new kind of contemporary poetry with some absurd visual twists.”
Gallery spokesman Kayleigh Hellin said: “We’re thrilled that Modern Art Oxford staff member, Adam J Maynard will launch his book of poetry here at the gallery.
“The Oxford-based website My Name is Mud offers a great platform for new writers, and we hope people will join us in celebrating these two fantastic books.”
