A TEENAGER has today been jailed for an unprovoked attack on two gay men in the centre of Oxford.
Ashton Soloman-Cameron lashed out at Jason and Scott Davenport as the two 32-year-olds made their way along Paradise Street in the early hours of Sunday, October 10.
The 19-year-old, of Falcon Close, Blackbird Leys, landed what a judge called a “savage punch” on Jason, knocking him to the floor and causing him to fracture his ankle.
Scott Davenport was then subjected to a flurry of blows from Soloman-Cameron, who stamped on him on the floor and hit him with one of his trainers, leading to two chipped teeth.
The defendant, a chef at Worcester College, earlier admitted GBH and ABH and was jailed for 10 months by Judge Patrick Eccles at Oxford Crown Court.
Det Con Iain Spencer, who investigated the incident, said: “These two men were on their way to meet a friend when they were attacked for no apparent reason by the offender who was highly intoxicated.”
