Paul Everett (Oxford Mail January 17) should study his Bible more carefully, and should know you cannot have Darwinism and the Bible in the same corner. They are mutually exclusive.
The Bible makes the following clear: (a) We are not just an evolved animal but an entirely different creature, made in God’s own image (Genesis 1:26).
(b) Jesus regularly ate roasted lamb himself and declared all foods clean, ie. acceptable for man to eat (Mark 7:15-19).
(c) Our only salvation from the evils of, not the world, but our own human hearts, is not by choice of diet but by turning to the Lord Jesus Christ in repentance and faith (Romans 14:17; Galatians 2:16).
