Bishop Andrew
The new Bishop of Reading is to be the Rt Rev Andrew Proud.
Bishop Andrew, who is currently Area Bishop of Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa, replaces the Rt Rev Stephen Cottrell, who became Bishop of Chelmsford in November.
The Bishop of Reading is one of three area bishops in the Diocese of Oxford, serving under the Rt Rev John Pritchard, Bishop of Oxford. The Reading episcopal area includes much of south Oxfordshire.
Bishop Andrew, who is 56, will be installed in April.
