Rapidly expanding electrical installation business Clarkson Evans has moved into new premises in Kidlington. The company has bought an industrial unit at the Chancerygate Business Centre, covering 2,329 sq ft, for an undisclosed sum.
Director Steve Evans said: “We are currently expanding our operations into several new areas. We opened a new depot in Southampton a few months ago, and have just purchased premises in Plymouth.
“We identified Oxfordshire as another area with good potential for growth and have already secured contracts for sites at Eynsham, Rosehill, Didcot and Chinnor. To serve these sites we needed a spacious, modern property with good access to the Oxford ring road, but which is also easily accessible from our Gloucester headquarters.”
Clarkson Evans carries out work for more than 7,000 new homes each year, working with most of the major UK house builders.
Duncan May, associate director at LSH’s Oxford office, said: “LSH has been jointly marketing this development since 2007, and the units have consistently attracted new and expanding companies.
“In the current market we are seeing an increasing appetite for freehold purchases such as this, where businesses can invest in their own property.”
