OXFORD City Council has approved an average 6.7 per cent rise in charges at leisure centres and swimming pools.
The new fees will come into force from Tuesday.
An adult swim will rise by 30p to £3.90. The fee for the concessionary Bonus Slice membership, offered to those on benefits, will not be increased.
The city’s leisure centres are run by not-for-profit company Fusion on behalf of the council.
