HERE is another picture of a production at Wheatley Secondary School.
It was one of a number of shows staged by teachers Gerard Gould and Jeffery Babb in the 1950s, although we are not sure which one.
The picture comes from former pupil Chris Payne, of Turnpike Road, Bicester.
He writes: “I cannot name all participants, probably because my voice broke very early and while I managed to mime along for a while instead of sounding like a bullfrog, I was discovered in my ploy and had to attend more mundane lessons while this lot belted out the hits on stage.
“Maybe someone can name them or perhaps even recognise themselves in the picture.”
Pictured are, from left: ?, Rodney McKenna, Barbara Filer, John ?, ?, Michael Pearce.
Can anyone fill in the gaps? Let me know.
