Police this afternoon appealed for information after two burglaries in Marcham.

The burglaries both took place during the daytime on January 5. The first of these was at a property in Chancel Way, between 7.30am and 5.05pm.

Burglars forced their way into the property through a rear window and stole jewellery and a satellite navigation system.

The second burglary was at an address in Kings Avenue between 6.30am and 5.45pm. Burglars forced their way into the house through a rear door and stole jewellery.

PC Paul Reece said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of either of these two properties on this day, who may have seen or heard anything suspicious.

“We have had reports of a white man, aged in his late teens to early twenties, who was parked on the corner of Kings Avenue and Chancel Way in what was a blue or sandy-coloured Vauxhall car, possibly an Astra or a Meriva, at about 4.40pm to 5pm.

“I would like to identify who this person was and rule them out of our enquiries. If this was you, or you know who this person was, then I would urge you to contact us as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Reece via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
