A MOTORIST who exposed himself to two groups of schoolgirls in Kidlington has been sentenced to a community order.

BMW driver Sean McGrae slowed down in Cromwell Way to ask a 14-year-old and a 13-year-old girl directions to Bicester.

As he did so he exposed himself and made a lewd comment to the teenagers, Oxford Crown Court heard on Monday. Clare Tucker, prosecuting, said the 40-year-old transport manager then pulled up in the Oxford Road slip road and wound down his window as a 12-year-old and two 13-year-old girls were walking towards a newsagent.

The girls saw him expose himself and blow a kiss at them as he drove off, Miss Tucker said.

Both incidents took place on February 26 last year at around 5pm.

McGrae was arrested after two of the girls took down his registration number on their mobile phones. He admitted the offences of exposure.

Mark Dixon, defending, said his client, from High Street, Silverstone, Northamptonshire, had a “happy and stable home life” and “still has no grasp or understanding of why this has taken place.”

He added: “This has had a very dramatic impact on himself and his partner.

“He’s a hard-working, well-qualified, well-paid individual and this is a complete aberration.”

Judge Anthony King gave McGrae three years’ supervision and told him to attend a community sex offenders’ programme.

He was also told to sign the sex offenders’ register and was banned from stopping within 10 metres of a school, college or bus-stop between 7am and 9am and 3pm and 6pm.
