A MAN arrested on suspicion of an armed robbery at a Watlington bank has been bailed until tomorrow.
Shortly after 2pm on Thursday a man walked into Barclays Bank in High Street carrying a sawn-off shotgun.
After threatening a female cashier, he demanded the money be put in a black bag before fleeing in a white van.
The vehicle was later found burned out near St Leonard’s Church hall car park, where police believe the robber switched to a motorcycle.
Police spokesman Rebecca Webber said a 45-year-old man was arrested on Friday in connection with the robbery.
