MUM Heidi Kelloway is one of the few who did not break her New Year’s resolution last year.

She told girlfriends her challenge was to get on television – and that’s exactly what she did.

Now the Ulrika Jonsson lookalike is appearing in a primetime Saturday night dating game show Take Me Out, presented by Paddy McGuinness.

The 38-year-old, from Langford Village in Bicester, is competing against 29 other women for a date.

Each week four men try to impress ‘Paddy’s flirty 30’, but if the girls don’t like what they see, they go home alone.

Since divorcing her husband six years ago, the single mum-of-two has been looking for love.

Last year she applied for a string of shows, including Deal Or No Deal, and was accepted by ITV’s Take Me Out.

She spent three weeks in Kent in November filming the series, but is tight-lipped over whether she found Mr Right on the show.

Ms Kelloway, who runs a children’s party business called Glitter and Glamour, said: “It was hard work. We were there from 10am to midnight sometimes, as it was filmed in front of a live audience in the evening.

“It was a bit nerve-wracking, but it was a fantastic experience.

“I loved all the pampering. I got my hair done by Tess Daly’s hairdresser and make-up by the team that does This Morning.

“There were a lot of young girls aged 18 to 20, beautiful models, so I was up against really stiff competition.

“I just thought I’m single and this was the ideal show because maybe the fairytale might come true, and I might meet Mr Right.

Ms Kelloway, who lives with her children Lauren, 13, and Josh, 10, appears in 12 of the 14 shows in the series.

She said: “From the phone call to say I had been successful and was going to be one of Paddy’s girls, two weeks later I had to go to Kent to start filming.

“I had to get 10 dresses before I went, so that was a panic, buying all those dresses.”

Ms Kelloway also got herself labelled as a ‘cougar’, a woman who dates younger men, after admitting on the show she preferred toy boys and had never dated anyone older then her.

Since the show first aired, Ms Kelloway’s daughter has been running fan pages for all the contestants on social networking site Facebook.

She added: “Lauren and Josh have loved it, they think it’s great fun and amazing when they see me on TV.”

l Last year Oxford Brookes graduate Liz Wayner, of Yarnton, appeared on the show, but failed to find love.
