FIREFIGHTERS warn us time and time again about the importance of smoke alarms.
But the message really hits home when it comes from a grieving son, Clive White, who has lost one parent – and nearly lost both of them – in a devastating house fire.
The fire alarm woke up his father Lucas, allowing him to get out of the house, but his mother Evelyn died in the blaze. And the alarm was still ringing two days later.
Let’s hope their story helps save other lives in Oxfordshire.
