Sir – As a resident of Wolvercote, I am lucky to live near Port Meadow. The meadow is always lovely to enjoy and to look at, but the recent snow made it even more beautiful and lots of people were having a wonderful time walking and playing on it.

The only thing spoiling it was the huge amount of dog poo, which was even more visible than usual against the whiteness of the snow.

It is amazing how many people allow their dogs to use the meadow as a toilet and make no attempt to clear it up. Is it more acceptable on the meadow than it would be in a park? I don’t think so.

It would help if a red bin for disposing of dog poo was made available nearby. Is anyone else as disgusted by this as I am?
