Sir – The county council is proposing to shut half our libraries; at the same time, they want to open the Central Library on Sunday.
Surely this is nonsense. Opening the Central Library on Sunday must be expensive and the money would be much better spent on keeping branch libraries open, even if the hours have to be limited.
