LURKING behind the door of day 16 is a man wanted by police over an assault in Oxford.

Kambulu Joao, 28, of Cranley Road, Barton, Oxford, went to St Aldate’s police station on June 10 over an immigration issue, having arranged a meeting with a UK Border Agency official.

But after hearing he was going to be detained for possible deportation, he became aggressive, shoved the immigration officer into the wall and fled from the station.

Every day until Christmas another suspect wanted by police is being revealed in the Oxford Mail’s Badvent Calendar.

Pc Martin Wizard said: “Thankfully the immigration officer didn’t sustain serious injuries in the assault.

“We are keen to trace Joao in connection with this incident and the UK Border Agency still has matters to discuss with him.

“Joao’s last known address was in the Barton area of Oxford, and we believe that he is still in either this area or the Headington area.

“He has been known to use the alias Roland Imeri, so perhaps someone out there might recognise this name instead?

“I would urge anyone with information about this man to contact me as soon as possible so this matter can be resolved.”
