As usual, county council leader Keith Mitchell (ViewPoints, December 8) fails to answer the objections to library closures raised by two correspondents.
Instead he repeats his tired old excuse that it’s all the fault of previous Labour Governments – as if Mitchell had no hand in deciding to close so many libraries.
He also claims to be “working hard with local residents” to keep Adderbury Library open, although he says nothing about where the necessary money, training and volunteers will be found.
I am still waiting for Mr Mitchell to tell us what hours he is volunteering to help run Adderbury Library. If he did, he might have less time to write so many self-satisfied letters to you.
