HOW good it is to see that our hard-pressed councillors are at last waking up to the real world – we have South Oxfordshire District Council conservative leader Ann Ducker calling for the number of councillors to be reduced.
Now we have the only Labour member on SODC who, after being involved in local politics for 15 years and a councillor for nine years, has just found out that she does not know what the council is for or what it does!
Also in your report on the subject (November 22) it said that deputy leader of the county council David Robertson said: “If it was the will of local people then it is up to councillors to consider it”. When did councillors ever consider the people’s views ?
That is unless it was what councillors want themselves!
