Local businesses helped launch a housing development in West Oxfordshire.
Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey’s open day at Swinford Green in Eynsham last week included snacks baked by Wantage-based The Natural Bread Company, wine and ale from Eynsham Cellars and entertainment courtesy of local jazz band Melody Room.
Chris Ashmore, of Taylor Wimpey, said: “Eynsham is a beautiful village with a fantastic community spirit. The businesses are independent, providing wonderful produce from the everyday necessities like fresh bread to small luxuries such as locally brewed ale - everything anyone could need is available right on their doorstep.
“We wanted to give potential purchasers a taste of what life in Eynsham and at Swinford Green could be like, so we invited local businesses to help us launch the site.
“Along with the refreshment and entertainment we had a local marquee company and local balloon business. We’re looking forward to welcoming the businesses and the visitors to our development.”
