A TEACHING assistant has been jailed for three years after admitting trying to smuggle £80,000 worth of heroin and cannabis through Heathrow.
Sarah Hughes, 32, of Samuelson Court, Banbury, was arrested on August 22 after arriving on a flight from Ethiopia.
Isleworth Crown Court heard yesterday that officers searched her suitcase and found 25 packages disguised as books.
Twenty four of the packages contained cannabis and one heroin.
The court heard the estimated street value of the haul was about £80,000.
