A MAN was attacked in a city street early yesterday morning.
Police were called to Abingdon Road at about 6.30am to reports of two men involved in an row, and found a 20-year-old man with injuries to his leg caused by an unknown weapon.
He was taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital and remained there last night.
Police said an 18-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
Det Sgt Steve Raffield appealed for witnesses and said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was travelling along the Abingdon Road around the time the incident happened.”
