YES, we have all been there. We phone the council and what do we get?

Firstly, we get four options. You then think you will be put on to an operator, but do we?

No, we get another six options all being given to us by a recording. But you think, well, at least I’ll get to speak to someone after the six options.

But no, we are wrong again. You get another message saying “Sorry, this is a time of high demand. All our staff are busy.”

You get this no matter what time of day it is, but you could leave a message, it says.

How on earth can the council justify this?

Most people today use mobile phones. It makes me wonder how much money they make on these calls, but it wants stopping.

The council takes too much money off us as it is and most of us have mobile phones you have to pay for.
