A DISABLED housewife is appealing for witnesses after tyres on their two family cars were slashed three times in four months.

Since July, Susan Lee and husband John, 48, of Windrush Close, Bicester, have had to replace a series of tyres on their black Audi estate car after finding them flat in the morning.

Her train driver son Aaron Scott, 25, also had his Vauxhall Corsa targeted. The family has spent almost £300 replacing tyres.

After the latest incident earlier this month, the couple say enough is enough.

Mrs Lee, 46, said: “My husband went to go out at 5.55am on October 14 and at 6.05am he phoned to say he just managed to pull in at Tesco as he started losing control of the car.

“He said, ‘they have done it again’. If he had been going any faster it could have killed him. It’s happening too many times.”

Mrs Lee said over the past 14 months there had been a series of attacks on their car, which included glued dustcaps, slashed tyres and a cracked wing mirror.

Tyres were slashed on Mr Lee’s car on July 24, August 28 and October 14. Her son’s tyres were attacked in August and October.

Mrs Lee, who was medically retired after an accident at work left her with spinal damage, added: “No-one else’s cars in the street have been attacked.

“It’s getting to us financially. It’s dangerous and inconvenient.

“I have lots of hospital appointments John has to take me to, and Aaron works shifts and ends up having to walk to work.

“Someone must have seen something.”

Pc Jim Lowther-Harris said: “We have received reports of damage being done to the tyres of two vehicles at an address in Windrush Close over a period of several months.”

He said leaflets had been distributed locally to appeal for information.
