Greengrocer’s store Stokes could be sold by administrators, saving the jobs of 13 staff, it was revealed tonight.
The shop in Templars Square, Cowley, Oxford, is one of seven stores in the national chain to survive after nine were closed yesterday, bringing the total to 30.
Richard Hill, joint administrator and partner at KPMG, said: “While we remain in negotiations regarding the sale of the seven stores which are continuing to trade, the shops that are closing have not attracted interest as a going concern.
“However, we hope to be able to provide an update on the sale of the remaining stores very soon.”
