A LIFE-LONG Oxford United supporter said he was “thrilled” to being our Face In The Crowd winner this week.
Paul Robinson, 61, from Begbroke, pictured wearing his Oxford United tie, collected £75 after being photographed by the Oxford Mail at United’s home game on Saturday.
He watched the U’s beat Northampton 3-1 at the Kassam Stadium with his family.
He said: “Winning the match was obviously the most important thing, but this is a very nice bonus.”
Mr Robinson, a teacher at EMBS language school, in Cowley Road, Oxford, said he had supported Oxford since he saw his first game in 1949.
He added: “My wife’s only been supporting them since 1971, so she’s a newcomer.
“I mainly read the Oxford Mail online, but I had calls from my wife, sister and six others telling me I’d won.”
He added: “You don’t get to my age without winning anything, but I’m still thrilled.”
We are giving away £75 to our Face In The Crowd winner from every home league game this season.
