Police are appealing for information following a rape in Oxford in the early hours of Saturday.

The victim, a 19-year-old girl, met a black man, aged in his twenties, in Anubar in Park End Street. They then went to the Bridge nightclub and were seen leaving at about 3am.

Police said the rapist was about 5ft 8in tall, with short dark hair and was wearing a light-coloured, long-sleeved hooded top, jeans and trainers.

Det Insp Simon Morton said: “We believe the incident took place inside a car after they had left the club.

“Were you out in this area of town on Saturday evening?

"Did you see a man matching this description with a girl that night; she is white, 5ft 8ins, medium build, with shoulder length blond hair.

"She was wearing a distinctive pink sleeveless top with ruffles on the front, black leggings and black boots.

“We know she was feeling unwell as she recalls opening the car door and being sick, this was in a very brightly lit area.

"Do you remember seeing this between 3am and 5am, or did you have to clean this up or maybe you gave them a lift?

“I urge anyone with any information that could assist the investigation to please get in touch.”
