A CAR was stolen in Oxford today when its owner left the vehicle unattended while deicing and warming it up.
The grey Vauxhall Astra estate was stolen from outside a home in Lobelia Road, Blackbird Leys, at about 7.30am.
Police warned drivers not to leave their vehicles unattended.
Det Sgt Laura Auger said: “I know it can be tempting to go inside and wait in the warm but it only takes a second for an opportunist thief to get in the car and drive off.”
