Police are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery in Summertown.
Shortly after 4pm yesterday, an Asian man knocked on the rear door of Pen to Paper, asking a member of staff to come outside to move a car.
The man then entered the store, threatened a member of staff with a knife and forced him to open the safe. He then fled with about £1,000 in cash.
The robber was about 6ft 2in tall, of medium build, and was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up covering his face.
Det Con Matt Welsh said: “I appeal to anyone who was in Summertown yesterday afternoon and saw a man acting suspiciously to contact police immediately.”
Anyone with information that could assist police enquiries is urged to contact Det Con Welsh via Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police and don’t want to leave your name contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
