FIRE crews were called out to three suspected arson attacks in the county over the weekend.

Firefighters were called to a car fire in South Oxford in the early hours of Satuday.

The car and 10 metres of hedge were set on fire in Fox Crescent, off Abingdon Road, at about 5.35am.

The vehicle was completely destroyed.

On Friday night, a caravan was destroyed in a suspected arson attack near Didcot.

Fire crews from Watlington and Wallingford were called to the A4074 in Preston Crowmarsh at about 6.35am.

Firefighters doused two gas cylinders with water to make sure they did not explode. The caravan was destroyed.

Early on Saturday morning, a car was damaged by fire in Stratton Audley, near Bicester.

Firefighters were called to West Farm Barns in Launton Road at about 4.20am.

  • In Minster Lovell, near Witney, four fire crews were called to a fire in a storage garage on Saturday at about 9.25pm.
  • Firefighters took about two hours to tackle the garage blaze, which was being used to store wood and machinery.

    The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
