I SAW Keith Mitchell has announced that, regrettably, the county council is going to make cuts of up to 30 per cent and put thousands out of work.
I would like to ask why, if Mr Mitchell and other leaders of the council feel these cuts are so urgent and unavoidable, they don’t take voluntary cuts of up to 30 per cent in their allowances before they impose them on others?
That would probably save quite a few jobs for council employees on ordinary salaries.
