ONE of theatre’s best-loved shows is coming to Oxford – complete with its favourite star.
The Sound of Music arrives at the New Theatre in December as part of the show’s UK tour.
And Connie Fisher – who won BBC1 talent contest How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? – will be reprising her role as Maria von Trapp.
The Rodgers and Hammerstein show is perhaps best known for its Oscar-winning film adaptation, starring Julie Andrews.
Ms Fisher, 27, started her role in London’s West End in November 2006. After a break, she he resumed for the show’s UK tour in July this year.
The Sound of Music runs at the George Street theatre from December 7-15.
