I am amazed that Prof Peter Atkins (as referred to by Graham Butler, Viewpoints October 13) can exert his opinion that there is no life after death.

Being a professor, supposedly he has knowledge that we mere mortals do not. Therefore, instead of claiming there is no evidence for the afterlife, perhaps he could provide evidence supporting his opinion.

And while Mr Atkins ponders his proof against eternity, he would do well to read my book Glimpse Beyond Death, which portrays my own experiences of the afterlife after passing away with severe illnesses, to be resuscitated on three occasions by medical staff.

Graham Butler is correct in saying that since time began there has been evidence among humanity that there is life beyond the grave.

Prof Atkins’ thinking is biased against religion, whereas my book portrays the same truth for all religions.

Faith in yourself comes from faith in a greater power. We all own the world so why can’t we share it fairly?

My book is free to anyone interested.
