Barton led for most of the match, but could never quite shake of the spirited Cougars, who pulled back to 1-1 at half-time and then 2-2 later in the second half.
Barton made it 4-2 with an excellent cross from the right wing which was neatly dispatched into the net at the far post, but even then the Cougars immediately pulled one back to make for an pulsating last few minutes.
Overall, an exciting and close game, very enjoyable to watch.
