Police are appealing for information after a house was broken into at West Street, Chipping Norton, overnight between Friday and Saturday.

Thieves used house keys that had been left in an unlocked car to gain access to the property, and a handbag was stolen.

PC Darren Hall said: “I would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have seen or heard anything suspicious.

“I would also like to remind people of the need to be vigilant to this type of crime and ensure that all homes and vehicles are left locked and secure, and that no valuables or keys are left on display.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Hall via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, you can contact the Crimestopper charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
