THOUSANDS of TV viewers will welcome the news their signal is to be restored after eight months of disruption.

But while the TV picture may be clear, the situation regarding the countless agencies involved and the length of time it has taken to resolve remains fuzzy.

Calls for a rebate for the substandard service, backed by the Oxford Mail, have also been quashed.

For the thousands affected, it revealed the tangled web of agencies and contractors involved in the digital switchover – with no-one willing to take responsibility for the picture quality residents paid for.

Wantage MP Ed Vaizey, who is now the minister responsible for the switchover, must get the answers viewers, many in his own constituency, deserve.
