Motability is the UK's leading car, powered wheelchair and scooter scheme for disabled people. It provides affordable, convenient, worry-free motoring to around 550,000 disabled customers and their families. Motability allows people to get a brand new car in exchange for the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement.
Disabled people interested in a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair will find a huge display available at Motability’s ‘One Big Day’ summer event taking place in Oxfordshire on August 7, at the RBS Williams F1 Conference Centre from 11am to 4pm. Models from different local car dealerships will be on display, with many available for a free test drive.
One Big Day events are a great way to take a closer look at the wide range of cars available to lease through Motability, test drive a few cars, or simply get some advice about getting on the road whilst having a great day out.
Local dealerships with Motability Specialists in attendance will include Perrys (Ford & Vauxhall), Bristol Street Oxford (Peugeot), Johnsons Mitsubishi, West Way Oxford (Nissan) and Ridgeway Oxford North (Volkswagen). There is also the chance to see Sir Frank Williams’ private Grand Prix collection, as well as family entertainment, free tea and coffee and the chance to win some great prizes.
Craig Renney, Motability Adviser from Motability Operations, the organisation that delivers the One Big Days, said: ‘We can’t wait to visit the RBS Williams F1 Conference Centre for the One Big Day event. We enjoy great feedback from people as they really appreciate the chance to see lots of cars, adaptations and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles in one location whilst getting advice from trained specialists.” Visitors to the Oxfordshire One Big Day event will see cars and a wide range of powered wheelchairs and scooters available. Visitors can also enjoy free entry to the Grand Prix collection and a free bouncy castle and face painting for children.
All attendees have the chance to enter a free prize draw to win £500 worth of vouchers.
