THE sentencing of two men who threatened a pizza delivery driver before stealing food was adjourned yesterday after one failed to show up at Oxford Crown Court.
Karl Axtell, of Hailey Road, and Carl Hemmings, of Windrush Valley Road, pleaded guilty last month to robbery after threatening Radoslaw Szewczyk with a hammer and bottle.
Sentencing of the pair — both aged 22 — was yesterday adjourned until Friday after Axtell claimed he did not have the financial means to get to Oxford.
