NORTH Oxfordshire villagers are planning a mass lobby of councillors before a meeting to decide contracts for a waste Incinerator.
On Tuesday, campaigners will protest outside County Hall in Oxford over plans by Oxfordshire County Council to sign a multi-million pound contract with waste firm Viridor to build the Incinerator in Ardley – despite a lack of planning permission.
The incinerator proposal is the subject of a public inquiry, currently under way.
But the council’s cabinet is holding an extraordinary meeting to decide whether to sign the contract.
The move angered campaigners from the Ardley Against the Incinerator group and residents of surrounding villages, including Ardley, Bucknell, Middleton Stoney and Fewcott.
