CHILDREN enjoyed a Mad Hatter’s tea party after finishing studying Oxford academic Lewis Carroll’s book Alice in Wonderland.
The Year Five and Six pupils at St James Primary School, in East Hanney, designed their own hats to wear at the tea.
The 30 pupils sat down together to enjoy tea, scones and sandwiches on Tuesday.
Headteacher Jane Snewin said: “We had plenty of weird and wacky hats.
“It was a really fun thing to do and the children learned some social skills.
“It gave them a chance to sit down together and chat.”
