An 11-year-old escaped after being attacked in St Margaret’s Road, Summertown, Oxford.
She was grabbed by a man in his early 40s who grabbed her wrist, but she broke free and raised the alarm in the attack just before 9am on Friday.
He is described as white, in his early 40s, with brown eyes, short sandy hair, 5ft 9in tall and chubby.
He had earrings in one ear and wore a green T-shirt and black trainers.
