AN OXFORD community centre is appealing to local people to get involved in its annual fun day.
West Oxford Community Centre hopes to bring the community together on Saturday, July 17.
Manager Keith Birnie said fun day organisers were looking for more local people, groups, firms and organisations to get involved in the event in Botley Park. So far, the day will include music from local bands, drumming workshops, circus skill displays, a dog show, Taekwondo demonstrations and food provided by different community groups.
Mr Birnie said: “We aim to celebrate what goes on within West Oxford and the range of people that are involved.”
He added: “We want to increase the sense of community in West Oxford and be a forum for people to introduce and get to know each other.
