A teenager accused of terrorising an Oxford estate has been given a wide-ranging antisocial behaviour order.

Lewis Felton has been banned from going out almost anywhere in Oxford at night unless he is with his mother or a teacher, as part of the terms of an interim Asbo. He has also been barred from riding other people's bicyles.

Oxford City Council's crime and nuisance action team acted on complaints from residents to get the magistrates' court order, which will last until a hearing for a full Asbo in October.

Under the current order, he is banned from using threats or violence in Blackbird Leys, Greater Leys and the city of Oxford within the ringroad and Enter private property without express permission of the land owner Ride pedal cycles that are not owned by him without permission of the owner Be in possession of motor vehicles or pedal cycles that do not belong to him without permission of the owner Threaten, use violence or intimidate any member of the public Be in a public place between 10pm and 7am unless he is accompanied by his parents, or any person granted parental responsibility by a court order or a teacher.

The Oxford Mail is banned by magistrates from saying where Felton lives and how old he is.

Last night, his mother Debbie said the interim Asbo would not help her son.

"He deserves more help than punishment," she said.
