A POLICE helicopter and firefighters are currently searching for a man who went missing after playing in water in West Oxford.
Police received a call at 6.15pm after a group of four men who had been playing near a weir near West Oxford Community Centre in Botley Road could not find their friend.
A police spokesman said: "There were four young lads who were enjoying the sunshine and jumping in and out of the water.
"They realised they couldn't find one of their group."
The missing man is described as in his 20s.
Two fire engines and a rescue vehicle with a boat are currently being used as part of the search.
